1) The process in which contraction and relaxation of the ciliary muscles adjust the lens according to the angle at which light enters the eye.

2) In education, changing existing beliefs based on new information or experience that challenges current knowledge, so that new knowledge or understanding is created.

3) In medicine, the ability of the eye to change its focus from distant to near objects (and vice versa). This process is achieved by the lens changing its shape. Accommodation is the adjustment of the optics of the eye to keep an object in focus on the retina as its distance from the eye varies.
